The Vesuvius was launched on Januray 1, 2149 and proceed directly into shakedown trials.

Trials were completed six months later and she was sent to the front on the border with the Calanorian Federation.

The Vesuvius class carriers are scheduled to become the core of the Fleet, replacing the older Enterprise-class carriers which have fought, with distinction for the last 20 years.
